During filming for David Attenborough’s Seven Worlds – One Planet I shot some 360 VR of whale sharks swimming under a fishing Bagan in Cendrewasih bay, Indonesia. Usually when diving with megafauna there is a good dose of adrenalin running through my system due to either exertion (in keeping up with the animals) or the potential for danger. In this case everything was so relaxed and static, and the gentle giants so benign and friendly, that it was a truly surreal and fantastic experience. You can experience it in 360 VR in the aweome BBCEarth video below. Read more about my experience shooting for Seven Worlds – One Planet on my Seven Worlds blog.
